Game in itself is a pleasure to play. It is a game not for someone who are looking for RTS battles or empire management. Those aspects are only superficial. The main meat of this game is in its roleplaying aspect. In other words, you must immerse yourself into the role, love to listen to story, you have to think about your decisions. Such things are the strong and the main aspect of this game and no game which I or most people know comes even close to this aspect. If you like an idea, game is certainly must buy.

Game certainly has a lot of flaws in its design. First of all, while map is open, it is completely linear. Don’t even think about doing that game discourages you from doing. You are arbitrary locked from exploring the area and doing what you want as your units are simply useless. At certain points your army gets free and complete upgrades which can easily increase your combat power three fold…

There are also issues of clunky interface. It is difficult to navigate through windows, took me a while to figure out how to send units in reserve or such basic functions as seeing cost when you are purchasing units are non existent. Coming from Total War series, you certainly start to appreciate just how much better that game is at making it easy to do and to understand how to do such basic things as managing, upgrading and expanding your army or your empire. A lot of windows in this game are either completely useless or just disguised in game wiki which is just as useful as it sounds.

Ignoring bugs and weak combat aspect, this game is leagues above its competition. It introduces mind blowing systems which stupid developers will never think of like ACTUAL MORALITY SYSTEM. It also have highly interactive and immersive campaign map which gives you quality experience far beyond trash like total war warhammer can offer even up to this day. This game is simply too advanced in terms of game design. We have nothing comparable to this game up to the current day and failure of this project is just another proof that gamers do not need quality, just mass produced bland garbage to consume.
